Community Bible Study

Join the celebration by sharing your CBS story and supporting the next 50 years of ministry.
Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each in-person class participant receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. The course book and home study questions are available on line. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. The in person meeting at First Presbyterian Church will from time to time enjoy fellowship meals that will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.
We begin classes on September 10, 2026
We are accepting registrations for Fall for the Study of Genesis. The Registration fee is $40.00 for adults and $10.00 for each child. Come join us to see if this Bible Study is encouraging to you.
We meet at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Fort Myers. Additionally, we offer two online options using a virtual format. One meets in the morning at the same time as the in-person class, and the other meets in the evening on the same day. The children's program is only offered in person.
We also offer a Remote In Person Group meeting at Shell Point. See the registration page for more details.

We will study Genesis for 24 weeks and the Book of Job for the last 6 weeks. The Genesis study covers the first half of Genesis. This is a new study prepared by Community Bible Study.

Next Gen Ministry
Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, music, games and other activities, we seek to provide a nurturing environment where children can learn about Jesus' wonderful love for them. We also come alongside parents as they teach and train their children to live out God’s truths in their lives. We welcome your children to experience the love of Jesus through the loving servants in our CBS Children's Ministry.
